More Information
Blast off on an unforgettable musical journey as the Reno Phil takes you from the ancient myths of our solar system to the epic galaxies of the silver screen. Experience excerpts of Gustav Holst’s The Planets, a thrilling orchestral tour through the cosmos, paired with iconic selections from Star Wars by legendary composer John Williams—music that has defined generations of space adventure and imagination.
This concert is designed for explorers of all ages, bringing big sound, bold storytelling, and a sense of wonder that’s out of this world. Before the orchestra even takes the stage, families are invited to enjoy pre-concert fun including hands-on musical activities and more. Young concertgoers (and the young at heart!) are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite space-themed costumes to make the experience even more memorable.
Join the Reno Phil for this family-friendly event that proves the universe is best explored with a full orchestra.
Plaza Activities: Enjoy special activities for children on the plaza and in the concert hall lobbies related to the theme of the concert, including a coloring station, craft station, and more. Activities take place from 3:00 PM - 3:55 PM for 4:00 PM concertgoers (paid ticket required for 4 p.m. concert).
